Tank Markings: "V" in a cirlce ?

Dear all,

can anyone help?

Since a few days I try to remember where I have seen this: a drawing of a tank (FT 17?) with a marking on the turret. It was a white "V" in a white cirlce. Maybe the ground colour of the circle was a dark blue.

Which nation / units used this kind of markings? What time?

I hope somebody can help me.

Cheers
Chris

the only white V in a circle with a blue background (actually a French cocarde with a red outer circle) I know is the insignia of the 5e RDP, the Dragons Portes.
I don't think they had Ft's though.

regards, Kieffer

Hi Chris:

The description of a white "V" in a white circle sure sounds like the markings on the Victory Bond US M1917 (called "Little Zeb") that was used in the 1919 Victory Bond campaign and the Pike's Peak Colorado demonstration climb.  The US M1917 had the markings on both sides of the turret and on the top rear.

See the tank in action here:

Here's a picture of the tank itself:
