Is anyone familiar with the insignia on the side of this Schneider? A larger view can be had by following the link underneath the photo.

Letter on reverse (below) dated 26.1.1918 authored by Franz Paulsteiner, B.R.J.R. No. 7 (Bayerisches Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 7) with admin stamp from 7 Komp. B.R.J.R. No.7 and postage cancelled 27.1.1918. Photogr. Ulmer Photohaus, Fees, Ulm a. D.

Bonsoir,

Schneider M1 n° 61168 (As de Carreau 4) destroyed near Juvincourt on April 16 th, 1917.
Fourth Battery from Groupe AS 2 et Fourth tank of the Battery.

The tank commander was the Sous-Lieutenant de Bénazé
The Maréchal des Logis Georges Sydney Hébert was killed in the the tank.
I have no name for other killed or wounded men of this tank.

This photo was probably done in April or May 1917.
There is some other photos of this tank, done until summer 1918, with the new German first line trenches, done after 16 April's fights.
