Greetings,
This photo is pasted in the rear flyleaf of my copy of The Tank Corps by Ellis.  Throughout the book, the original owner stamped his name, Sherman H. Nelson, and pasted several cut-out caricatures from stationary of the (AEF) Tank Corps mascot "Tom" with the slogan, "Treat 'em Rough".  Therefore, I am assuming Nelson served in the AEF Tank Corps, though I have not been able to confirm that.

Does anyone have any info on 9914's history or unit affiliation(s)?

9914 left Birmingham (UK), where it was built, on 2 August 1918 and was shipped from Liverpool two days later. Its destination was the USA. It was used for training in the US.
