Hello I am new to this forum. I got inspired to find out more about World War One tanks from the game Rise of Flight (it has tanks as ground vehicles). I have been having fun doing research on these early tanks. I am currently reading Tanks and Trenches edited by David Fletcher. Anyway in several accounts in the book British tankers mention how they will lock the Mk IV tank up if they have to leave it on the battlefield. My question is how do you lock a Mk IV tank? Is there some sort of key lock, padlock etc. I can see where you could lock hatches, visors pistol ports etc. from the inside but ultimately there has to be some door or hatch that you can lock and can get back in through (sorry gents I lost the keys?) Thanks ahead of time to the person who knows the answer.
