German WW1 drawings of the first tank
Permalink Closed

Hello everyone

I was just going through some pictures in my collection, and found these 3 pictures of some drawings of the first British tank design used in combat according to the terrified German soldier's that drew them. These pictures are like the one in (The German A7V Tank by Hundleby & Strasheim) on page 14

Brilliant, thanks for those Tim!

I like Modell 1, which appears to have a house on top of the tracks, complete with little chimney. Okay, so it's really a persicope...

Modell 3 is not too far off.

God knows what the guy who sketched Modell 4 was on, but probably much the same as the guy who drew what for the sake of an argument I shall refer to as Modell 5, seeing as it has no label...

Modell 5

What the flamin' heck's a 'persicope' when it's at home?

My typing is shocking...
