A friend of mine received this very kind and informative reply from Peter Barton:

"We hope to have our first open day in October of this year. When practical archaeological work actually begins, the site will be open for the public to visit, as it was last year at Mametz. However, no dates have yet been agreed for the practical work to commence: we have another winter of archival and genealogical research in the UK and Germany to complete before we settle upon a time.

Do please keep an eye on our website; we shall be posting all details there."
