Found this pic of British tanks in Cologne during the occupation after the war (1919)

There another pic that looks like the same location on Landships MKV 722 jpg reproduced here... compare the lamp post wall and steps... Ive been there several times but I never recognised it before...

You won't recognize it anymore, the steps are gone, a few years ago they make higher the surroundings of the Dom (the "Domplatte") to make a parking under the present floor. Of course the house left has gone too, in the background You can see the roof of the old "Hauptbahnhof" (railwaystation).

The back of this real photo postcard has the note, "Mr. Gilchrist in Cologne."  From a different photo of the same vehicle, I was able to read the number "L7" on the horn.
