Two questions about AC Jeffery and AC White

Hello everybody!

Could somebody please help me with the following information?
Sometime I found photos of the AC "Jeffery Armored Car No.1" and made a model of it. But now I got stuck with the next question: There are photos of two versions of "Jeffery AC No.1". They represent vehicles with similar, but not the same configuration. According the information I found, from one side, only one vehicle with such name was built. From another side, the first version of photos as usually says that showed AC is "Jeffery AC No.1, 1915" and the second version says that it is "Jeffery AC No.1, 1916".
I do not understand, is this the same vehicle, built in 1915 and re-designed in 1916 or these are two various vehicles?


And also I would like to ask the next question: The AC "White Armored Car No.2" was equipped with the same turret as "Jeffery AC No.1" or I am wrong?

I thought that there was just one Jeffery A.C. built for USA (one example of one design), and a different car, built in quantity (many examples, different design), for Britain (but on the same Jefferey chassis/base vehicle) and used in Ireland and Afghanistan.

Yes. I do. Dont be sorry: I like learning new stuff, and now I know there was more than one Jeffery AC in USA. Sorry I was of no help.

I do hope someone makes a model British Jeffery at some point - very butch looking vehicle, and reminds me of some of the vehicles used by our men and women out in Afghanistan now

It might be wise to check "American Military Vehicles of World War I" by Albert Mroz, although I wouldnt regard it as written in stone so to speak...he claims there were four versions including the British one..

You can down load the book from a link in this thread, natural for review purposes...

I'm sure there's something in Fred Crismon's book, Military wheeled vehicles. But my copy is buried somewhere.

Thank you for information!
But a couple days ago I found one interesting document: http://www.warwheels.net/images/JefferyAC1_datasheet.pdf (Data Sheet from Dave Haugh).
It says: "... Only one car was actually completed although the front was modified for simplicity circa 1917 ...".
So, I understood that Jeffery AC No.1 1915 and AC No.1 1916 really is the same vehicle.

Anyway, the answer for the second question is still unknown for me.

Here is the preliminary 3D model of White AC No.2:

White's turret looks like the turret from the Jeffery, so I used the turret from the AC No.1. But common geometry looks not very close to original, and I do not understand why. Maybe, the body's width is incorrect or I placed the wrong turret.
