Does anyone have/know the scale of the St Chamond on the French website here:
http://www.chars-francais.net/archives/saint-chamond.htm

I'm also looking for a hi resolution drawing of the Schneider with a scale. I have lots of photos for details I just need to know how big the tank was.

Thanks for the help.

You could try George Braford's scale drawings:

Hello,

I have some information :
Schneider according to Retromodels kit drawing in 1/72
length : 6.26m
height : 2.27m (track to top of the roof)
width : 2.23m (body)
width : 3.92m (with machine guns)
Regarding the drawing, I will scan and send it to you. I have the "1er modele" or the 1er modele surblindé". Let me know which one you need.

St Chamond second model according to JMGT kit 1/72
length : 8.06m (without gun)
height : 2.52m (track to top of the exhaust)
width : 2.70m (body)

Hope this help
I plan to go again to the musée des blindés de Saumur soon to take a lot of pictures of the St Chamond and the Schneider.

All the best
Eric

Any scans would be great. I don't know the difference between the the "1er modele" or the 1er modele surblindé". I am more interested in the first version that was a fire trap and seems to be blownup in so many pictures.

When you go to the museum and take photos can I ask you to get some closeups of the tracks and links? I have great track link details for the Brit Mark IV and German A7V but not for any of the French tanks. If you see any books at the Museum that have good detailed drawings of the Schneider, St Chamond or FT-17 I'll gladly reimburse cost and postage to the US. If I could write a note in French to a curator to ask for detailed drawings I would. I got no response to a translated message I sent a while back.

Thanks for the info and help.

OK, I will scan both.
Regarding the musée des blindés, I don't know exactly when I will go, but I plan to take at least 200 pictures of the 3 tanks, FT17, St Chamond and Schneider.
I have a drawing of the FT17 track link if you are interested.
Regarding the books, I don't know what they have but I will check.

Eric

Eric!

Any chance that you could allow me to post those photos that you plan to take here on Landships? You will of course be given full credit etc.

All the best
/Peter K
