I have Just been given a great book on WW1 Tanks with an introduction by David Fletcher of Bovington which he praises. must be a serious read.

Its called;

Armoured Fighting Vehicles of the world. Vol. 1 A.F.V. World War One.

ISBN 1-899 695 02 8

Its distributed by Athena books Doncaster.

Enjoy

Hi, Graham. The book is a collection of the Profile Publications series from the 70s (if not the 60s). I think it's out of print now. It's an excellent book, but some parts of it have been overtaken by more recent research, and there are some inaccuracies. IIRC the colour illustration of the Whippet is incorrect, and there are one or two other things. Other than that, it's certainly a great introduction, with so much under one roof, as it were.
