Thanks to some top-notch translating by a friend and some imagery from Google Maps, we were able to come up with some nice now and then photos:

The reverse of the card reads:

"Dear Anna and children,

Keep the postcard as a memento. This is the place where we are currently stationed, it's called Pauvres, pronounced Pover. The machine that is standing there, I've seen it myself. It's an English tank, just like the ones the English and French use in battle. So far, I have no news from you, hopefully tomorrow. Put the postcard into the mail album. What's new over there? I also wrote to Fritz. I'm going to send my knitted sweater home after all. Many regards, Heinrich."

That's lovely. The Tank looks v familiar - I'm pretty sure it features in one of the Tankograd Beutepanzer books. Will try to find it and will add anything that might be of help.

A great bit of sleuthing!
What was the mock-up used for? Training purposes for infantry on combatting tanks?
