I have recently put together a few more WW1 odds and ends. The most important of these is a German 10,5cm. l.F.H. 1898/09 howitzer. This is the last piece I was looking for to complete a collection of all the regularly fielded German Field Artillery pieces in WW1 service (with the possible exception of the 10,5cm l.F.H. 1916 Krupp, which was build and fielded to units in only very small numbers).
At any rate, I have added to the collection this howitzer which will still need quite a lot of work, a 7,7cm lFK 1896 n/A projectile, a 0-6400 mil scale panoramic sight for the German 15cm sFH 1913, and a named US WW1 76th Field Artillery Regiment uniform from the same unit as Norman Schwarzkopfs father.
I hope some of you enjoy looking over these new additions:
I'm a little late but, I love that 3 shell carrier and the close-ups of the 7.7 shell. Im wondering if there are any markings on the wicker carrier, especially the metal top?? I have one but can't make out the complete markings. Also has a 25 xx pencil mark on one of the woodside posts. Cheers Dick
