The ever wonderful French site Modelstories has this nice article on a very tasty scratchbuilt 1/72 scale K-Wagen...

Check out how he's doing the rivets! He's just getting a thin sheet, and using a small sawblade! That is really ingenious. And the rivets ended up looking pretty good too!

Awed but with a question. I started a 1/32 Kwagen literaly decades ago but the chasis fits unfinesed with onle one sOpnson structure and the main body finished - the reason was at I could find no picture of description of the front of the vehicle. I couldn't see how it could not have somne sort of vision slot, mg mount etc right in front as the driver in the little pill box on the top could have no view of what was directily in front. I abandoned it and whent on to do a Mk V* female instead. Do you know what the front really looks like or are you making an intelligent guess (which is what I should have done)?

Actually, I have very good drawings and a friend from this site sent me some great copies of the original schematic drawings. I believe he purchased them from the Tank Museum.

If you are going to try and pick up where you left off, email me and I will send you what I have.

Whats the best way to exchane E mail addresses? Thisis the problem with a site where one dosen't have to register (although I appreciate many of the advantages). From Sunday evening I shall be incommunicado for over a week being immured in a hotel (without e mail facilities) with a load of bright young things that I have to inculcate in the dark arts of designing advanced computer systems.
