btw: 3rd picture shows Oberleutnant Hans Steinhardt (1st row, 2nd from left). But in this picture he doesn't look like an officer. More like a soldier.

Well .... assuming that he hasn't a twin, then it must be his look-alike.

Whoever that is, he isn't Steinhardt.

Hello all,

Second picture, third tank from the left... arrow pointing up to it. Is this 541? The "chalk" appears to be that number.

I'm thinking about building 541 as my 1/2 scale running replica... Of course I pick one of the hardest to track down information for!

I wonder why are there so few pictures of "541"?

Thanks for confirming or correcting my question,

Harry

541 somehow seems to have escaped the cameras most of the time. - Your identification is correct. - Three more pictures (the only ones I know) attached.

Mad Zeppelin - have you any idea what the two humps on top of the roof ventilator in your second photo are? They look a bit like the small cupolas fitted to Hedi, but further forward.

These are the seats for driver and commander, most probably removed from their normal position in order to install some additional items in the 'turret'.

Does anyone have high resolution images of Mephisto in the tank workshop prior to V-B? Where would the originals be kept?
Thank you
