I note that some of the background info is a little Wiki-reliant. It occurs to me that the M1917 is not entirely accurately named on Wikipedia. The "lede", as they insist on calling it, gives it as the Six Ton Tank (or Special Tractor) M1917. As I understand matters, the vehicle was originally code-named Six-Ton Special Tractor, and then became the M1917. On past experience, attempting to persuade the denizens of Wikipedia should be hugely entertaining.
