The vehicle in the link here is called "The English Track White Observation Car" and was apparently built in Britain on a White chassis (see mailer.fsu.edu); what I'm wondering is, is this an example of the wire-rope suspension used on the Medium D and M1922 tanks? It looks as though it fits the bill, with a strange upper row of wheels above the bogies, and a top wheel on each bogie.

As far as I understand, the wire rope would be trapped between these two rows of wheels above the bogies, with a spring at either end of the rope.

Could the track be balata belting? (referred to in an old thread somewhere)
