There is a nicely restored WW1 US tank at the Ropkey Armor Museum in Crawfordsville Indiana, USA. Also a tracked Holtprime mover.

What is it - an M1917 (six ton)?

I am not that familiar. It has a Buda 4 cyl. gas engine, and a crew of 2 or 3.

I think it is a smaller Renault type.

Almost certainly a 6-ton tank. The 6-ton was a licence built Renault FT tank - one of the changes made by the US manufacturers

was to change the Renault engine of the FT to a Buda engine in the 6-ton.

The 6-ton tank had a crew of 2.

Regards,

Charlie

Hello Charlie,

Yes, you've got it - spot on !

Thank you for the clarification.

I am interested in WW1 vintage trucks. Any leads are appreciated.

The wikipedia page on the Ropkey Armor Museum has a photo of the M1917 "6 ton":

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ropkey_Armor_Museum

Although that page describes the tank as a "First World War M1917" the wikipedia page on the M1917 correctly states that none were delivered in time to take part in the war:
