Help needed: photos of Beutepanzer IV!!!
Permalink Closed

Michel Boer and I are considering doing a special 1/72 decal sheet (Landships Decals) for the Mk IV's captured and used - as Beutepanzer IV - by the German Army during and after WW1. And yes, if it works out, we will probably do a 1/35 version as well. (Michel has just done a 1/35 version of the Russian Civil War sheet, and it will available soon.)

But in order to do this, we badly need photos of Beutepanzer IV's!!!

So if you guys have any, can't you post some of them here on the Forum, either directly or as an uploaded file. Either one would work fine for us!

Thanks in advance!

These look good, Tim. Could you e-mail them to me in a bigger size? If you would have them between 100 or 900 Kb, it would be great. I would also need a scale drawing of the Mk IV; if anyone could scan one, please place a ruler with it.

All the best,
Michel.

Michel

Sorry, The pictures I attached are approiximately the size of the original ones. I have attached some more. I have a huge collection, But they all seem to have almost the same markings. If you don't have Hundleby & Strasheim's The German A7V Tank book, get it, it has some really good pictures and diograms of different skull and crossbones used, also different styles of balkenkruze.

Thanks guys, this should help indeed. If you would have any pictures of the front or the back, that would be great. As it looks, the basic balkenkreuze were put on the sides, but the nicknames on the front. I don't have the A7V book you mention Tim, but if you could get me some scans from it with the skulls and the balkenkreuze, it would surely help a lot. No rush, and if you don't want to put those scans on the forum for copyright reasons, you can of course e-mail them to me or Peter.

All the best,
Michel.
