question about Major Models

Hi all,


Few weeks ago, I bought one Major Modelsīkit: the Ehrhardt 1917 armored car. It was my first purchase from this producer and probably itīs gonna be the last one! Itīs terrible! Missing or broken main parts, huge resin bubbles, instructions only in russian... so, almost unusable.


My question is: are all the kits from this producer like that, or simply I was the "bad lucky" guy?

Hello


  I have bought a few models from Major Models with little or no problems.


I am a scratch builder by heart so it is not much of a problem for me, I would try them again if I was you.

Thanks Eugene for your offer , but the russian-written  instructions are not the main problem.


Tim, itīs clear you can make many models from scratch, but the point is if it is worthy to pay 42 USD from your hard earned money for a bubbling block of resin and many broken or unaccurate pieces.


Anyway, perhaps I just had bad luck with this kit, but probably I will not buy from this producer anymore. I donīt like to take expensive risks!

I purchased the Ehrhardt and one of the Austins from Major Models, and I was disappointed as well.

For armored car models, I was much much happier with Armo, and will probably purchase more of their offerings eventually.

Ok Ok sorry for my optimism, I find the kits to be slightly espensive for what you get. But I purchased the models through a friend a few years ago who runs a import model business, I paid like $15 each, But I do agree that if you paid $45 for there kits, you should not receive broken parts or a big blob of resin, I fortunately did not have that many problems. I do not want to mislead you, if you are not a scratch builder than these kits are not for you.


Try Mr. Fullertons suggestion, Armo kits are far superior.

armo also replaces those parts that are broken if you send them an email!
