A repeat on Yesterday earlier today of an Antiques Roadshow from well before yesterday. A young guy brought in a silver model of a Mk IV rhomboid tank, together with a letter signed by Winston Churchill, both of which had been presented to his great grandfather Ernest Squires for services rendered during the Great War, apparently in figuring out how to attach caterpillar tracks to the vehicles. I found this hard to believe (the problem having been figured out several marks of tanks earlier) so a bit of googling revealed that Squires was General Manager of the Metropolitan Carriage, Wagon and Finance Co of Birmingham, which was a major manufacturer of Great War tanks. Anyway, interesting stuff. Apologies for both missing the first few seconds of the piece and the fact the audio drifts out of sync as the video goes on, it's something to do with how Yesterday broadcasts are encoded.
