Barbed wire in The War; would it have been galvanized? I think not - why would anybody waste zinc like that? If it wasn't galvanized, it would have rusted quickly, wouldn't it? So, on a diorama, any barbed wire should be rust coloured, shouldn't it? (I'm making a dio)
