Germans using captured French Canon de 155 L Modèle 1877

What do you think...  Is this a captured Canon de 155 L Modèle 1877 in service with the German Fuss-Artillerie?  Back of photo is dated 23 July 1915, possibly at an exercise area near Lille.

Certainly looks like a De Bange Mle 1877. The gun was regarded as a very good one - long range and accurate so it isn't too surprising the Germans

would use captured Mle 1877 guns. The De Bange barrel was incorporated into the Schneider L Mle 1877/1914 gun.

Regards,

Charlie

To echo Charlie's remarks, I might add significant numbers of these systems were captured, and  along with the 120mm deBange,  were happily used by their new owners.  though considered obsolete because they lacked a recoil carriage, the Germans none the less, appreciated their "reach",  So impressed were they with the the long deBanges guns' performance, the Germans tooled munitions plants to produce the 155mm and 120mm rounds to supplement captured stocks.   The only other beute gun ammunition was manufactured for was the Ruski 7,62cm M00/02 systems,

Gentlemen, thank you for your comments. Very much appreciated.  I especially appreciate the additional image with the gun.
