Film of Medium D running (anyone know of any clips)?

Hi

Following the major successes with the French tanks I just wondered whether any of you knew of any film available on the web of a Medium D (or D* etc) running.  I know of the clip showing the part submerged Medium D with water running from it, but that doesn't count.

Any help gratefully received because I've drawn a blank.

Cheers

Gwyn

I'm not sure if this is any help or not - probably not, but a couple of days ago I was browsing on the IWM website and came across the following entry:

http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/1060000018

The description for the film starts off "A Medium D tank comes up to the camera, and past it on to a stream."; problem is, I don't know whether or not the film is actually there to view online, as I certainly cannot watch it.

The IWM usually has a notice stating if media is unavailable online, and such a notice was not present in the search results; instead there was a still from the film.

Is it just me that cannot see this clip, or is it not actually online to see?

The clip played ok for me - rather slow to load though.

A case of bad captioning I think. There's a Medium C and somewhat later a longer shot of a Vickers Medium Mark I but no Medium D.

Regards,

Charlie

Thanks, Charlie.

Bad captions don't surprise me - I did find a photo on the site of Johnson's Light Infantry tank, mis-captioned as a Medium D. Unfortunately I cannot see any of the film clips on the website, nor listen to any of the audio recordings; I found one of the latter, a recording from the '70s of an old tanker's reminiscences, which claims to include mention of experiments with the Medium D.

If anyone fancies listening to it, the link is:

www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/80000785

The claimed Medium D part (if correct this time) is quite well into the very lengthy list of content quoted.
