This French BL 8-inch Howitzer Marks VI manual I thought pretty interesting, does anyone know anything about the French use or numbers?

The Howitzer is also listed in: Ecole militaire de l'artillerie. Cours d'artillerie. Historique et organisation de l'artillerie : l'artillerie française page 139, The listing implies its in Service.

Ironsides, "Les Canons de la Victoire 1914-1918", Tome 1, says the following:

In June 1917, two groups (16 pieces) of this gun went into service as temporarily replacements while waiting for the mortier de 220 TR Schneider to arrive. Only one group was still in use by the Armistice. Regards, Pat
