US FT17s in the Shop
Permalink

I recently acquired the attach Tank Corps photo of a couple of FT17s in a workshop.  The Tank in the foreground is marked on the rear, "A-34" over "U.S."

In his book, Organizations and Markings of United States Armor Units, Charles Lemons states on page 13, "...in preparation for shipment to the United States, all of the tanks belonging to the U.S. Army were gathered together at a single location. The light tanks were marked on either side of the engine compartment with "US" along with battalion number and company letter."
