Lovely pics; pity the preservation isn't better looked after.

The thing that amused me about Vienna is "don't mention the war" - the Museum seems to have a time warp for WWII - even the massive flak towers don't appear on most maps!  So the Museum is really covering only the Austro-Hungarian Empire part with a little bit of modern armour.

When did you visited Wien? I've got the same feeling the first time I was there in the early nineties, but it was quite different in 2011.
There is an extensive WW II section now, it's actually the most modern area, more interactive and up to date than the rest, with panels, videos and the like (the unfortunate side-effect: less artifacts are on display).

I also went back there in December 2013, but the WW I section was closed for renovation and the AFVs outdoor aren't accessible in winter.
