Am I right in thinking that Mk.IV supply tanks had a hatch in the cab roof? If so does anyone have a decent picture of one or the dimensions?

 

This is the only picture I can find showing (sort of) the cab roof.

Has anyone else noticed "new and improved" seems to mean it doesn't work as well as it used to?

Yes. This was fitted as standard, otherwise the crew in the cab couldn't exit past all the stores. Don't have a note of the precise dimensions, but it has always seemed to me identical in position and dimensions to that on the Mark V.
