New WW1 Arty kits! Amazing!
Permalink Closed

As most of you guys probably know, I have (partly for so called family reasons) a bit of a soft spot for WW1 Austro-Hungarian Artillery.

And now, in a short space of time, we have been reached by the news that TWO new kits of Austro-Hungarian Artillery pieces will come out very soon.

The first is the 10cm Feldhaubitze M.14, as already mentioned here: http://www.landships.freeservers.com/news.htm

The other one is the 15cm Autokanone M.15, as mentioned here: (Scroll the the bottom)
http://henk.fox3000.com/gzenoni.htm

Both are done by companies known for the quality. (The Autokanone is sure to be a treat being done by one of Europes best Master Builders, Gabriele Zenoni.)

In anticipation of the kit of the Autokanone, I am preparing an Information page on that gun, with detail photos of a surviving gun, that I photograped in the famous Army Museum in Vienna. Stay tuned.

Ah, the good news keep coming. First the announcement that Matador is taking over the WW1 range of BK Modelcraft. And now this: pure joy!

The scale are in both cases 1/72. Sorry all you 1/35-ers...

time to go small scale, these kits are soo good, and the number to chose from is so much greater than 1/35 I think ill give 1/72 a shot!

As I have said before: both scales have their advantages, and I am often most envious and impressed by the sheer detail work that you 1/35-ers are capable of.

But I can understand your feelings: the 1/35 WW1 Military kits are few and far between, while the 1/72 WW1 Military kits are accumulating at a steady pace.

So, welcome over to us little 'uns. But also: I can understand your grief...
