Peerless didn't go to India. It was proposed to send them there but a demonstration arranged in the UK showed its serious off-road shortcomings. So that must be an Austin.
Crossleys were there too. There's a picture on one of the Bovington display boards of an abandoned burning Crossley in the Calcutta riots. I was struck by the irony that it had been commanded by a Lieutenant Synge..........
