This is a new photo to me, so thank you very much for posting it.

I agree INSA... Looking at the length of the name and thinking about likely words in English, I'd suggest INSATIABLE. It's not a known tank name, but then we don't have a list of I or 9th Battalion tank names. It would be interesting if anyone can find another photo of this tank from an angle that shows the crew number.

Hi  Gentlemen

I have the full shoot with back. It's probably “Insatiate” and i think another view of the both tanks. Same bush Between the two mkIV.

Insatiate = 2078 ?

Thank you, I think it's two same tanks. But why do you think that 2078?

For me the number inscribed on the right tank is 2078. In the landships narratives it is written “direct hit” clearly visible in the front of the tank named “Insatiate”. It's well probably the same mkIV.

After research in my database and landships narratives, the second tank is 8052. Remark the hit in front of the left sponson (behind the arm of the german soldier) also visible in the first photo.

for the third mkIV male visible in the back of the second photo. two options 8027 or perhaps 6017 (others tanks of 2nd battalion lost 21st march 1918 are female).

Indeed, these new photos are very helpful. I'm happy that the tank that started this thread is 2078 and that it is seen knocked out whilst serving with 2nd Battalion. I'm also happy that it was formerly "Insatiate" though according to surviving records at the time it was knocked out on 22 [?] March 1918 it was known to its crew as "Bubbly".

I can't immediately find the third tank mentioned but if it's a Male it can't be 6017, which was a Female and a Top Tower.
