Overcome my frustration (frustrates me silly answers, bla..bla..bla), I show them two howitzers Krupp CampaignKrupp de 10,5cm (105mm)L 12 Modelo 1898, fabricados en 1899.. The first was part of the arsenal of the Argentine Army, the second was an experimental model not entered service, and was an attempt to make lightest this gun.-
The two are preserved in the Museo de Armas del Colegio Militar de la Nación.
The conventional model differed from similar models such as the preserved in the Musée du Fort in Seclin as Obusier léger de campagne 105mm mod 98 ('10 cm LFH 98 ') mainly by that used a breech block Maxim-Nordenfelt. The same type of breech block used in all Krupp in the Argentine Army from 1898 to 1902. He also used the same recoil brake system to springs and like all Krupp Model 1898 Argentinean (in the last photo of the experimental model can see the spring underneath the as plowshare placed on the gun carriage).
It is marked in front of his breech block with the Argentine National Shield and the Nº36, in the same way that all Krupp cannons Models 1898, 1902, 1905, 1909 were marked, and the last of the models purchased from the factory before WWI, the Obús Krupp de 15cm (150mm) L14 Modelo 1911 (Krupp howitzer) which was also very different from those sold to other countries at that time (I have their use and maintenance manual).
Caras y caretas Magazine (Buenos Aires). nº 900, 1916
The experimental model was a modification of the conventional model. It uses the same breech block and the same gun carriage and just change it barrel.
Most striking are the cylinders surrounding the breech. They are not elastic elements and appear to be only a reinforcement of the breech. I have not seen any other cannon or howitzer with these elements, if anyone knows of another weapon you use them, I would appreciate comment on it or show any pictures of her.
This very well manufactured and does not seem handcrafted but rather from the factory. It is a howitzer possibly was used in a screening test and remained at the Museum. At that time it was common for factories delivered guns and howitzers for such tests
With regard to this custom, when the Krupp cannon 75mm L30 was chosen for equipping our artillery, in the Decreto Ley 2674 of December 26 / 1908 decree says than in July 1908 had already been presented the test results of the guns competing for that purchase (Krupp, Schneider, Ehrhardt, etc.)
This means that by that time had long since had in our country Krupp 75mm guns with Welin breech block and hydrodynamic elastic system manufactured in Germany, of a pre series very similar to those that later would be in the Argentine Model 1909 (although Mr. Brunner denies them) and they refer to them in paragraphs 5, 6 and 7 of the same Decree Law,and surely it remained in service in the Army.
In addition it is seen that in the Senate approve that was bought and if the budget is authorized to pay this material (so say the Schneider 155mm not they appointed in the "two half pages" because they had not seen, even though they knew that they had been purchased is another answer silly and childish).
It seems to them unreliable a decree law Government of the Republic of Argentina, in which the purchase of the Krupp 75mm is accepted ???

Interesting that the caisson in the old photo you posted of the 10,5cm lFH in Argentinian service is so different from the type used with the German service 10,5cm lFH 98. Thanks for making the post.
