Video about 'Five of Hearts' FT with Steve Zaloga
Permalink

I am part of a team of military veterans that is producing short videos about interesting events, places, and people in military history.  It is a non-commercial project.  Our first video is about the French FT 'Five of Hearts' that was operated by American soldiers in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. The video features tank expert Steve Zaloga who talks about WWI tank warfare and the Five Hearts' combat action on 4 October 1918.  The video can be watched here - https://vimeo.com/225275155

In the near future, we hope to produce a video about the MK VIII Liberty Tank, including interior shots of the tank.

Regards,

Marc

Marc upload it to Youtube to get greater audience reach. I was put off having to join Vimeo just to watch the video. Otheres will feel the same way. Too many hoops to go through and there is a 30-second advert which cannot be skipped to watch a video.

Great video, thank you very much!

I also prefer Vimeo over YouTube, and I didn't have an ad, nor did I have to register there.

Thanks for the comments! Vimeo allows high-definition videos while YouTube does not, but as pointed out by Craig, YouTube draws a much larger audience. Thus, I think we will have to start posting our videos on both platforms. Or, you can follow the videos on this Facebook Page - www.facebook.com/WarStoriesllc/ - Our current production is about a French & Indian War era archaeological dig at Rogers Island in Upstate New York. Next will probably be a video about two abandoned Davy Crockett recoilless rifles near Fort Meade, Maryland (we have a 70-year old ex-Davy Crockett gunner to interview for that). After that, when the weatehr turns cold we plan to do a video about the WWI MK VIII tank in the Fort Meade museum. Oh, and we have an extended interview with Steve Zaloga in which he talks in more detail about WWI armored warfare. We just need time to edit it a bit.

Regards,
Marc

For those who do not care for Vimeo, I have posted the video on YouTube - www.youtube.com/channel/UCpncsaD-3seymLpg3y4gPZw
