Made an unexpected visit to Bovington at the weekend. Will send some reports shortly. It's changed a bit since I was last there, and the layout has been altered. You have to leave the WWI hall by a different route, and can't get to where the A7V was last time. One of the guides told me it's being kept in the conservation workshop and won't be taking part in Tankfest this year. He thinks the Saint-Chamond will be brought over from France instead.

Yes, the A7V and MkIV replicas normally live in the Conservation Centre as they are running vehicles. Both took part in Tankfest, along with a newly-restored pair of FT17s from the Weald Foundation - including a radio tank. The French visitor was a Char B.
The museum has a complete genuine MkIV in the WW1 Hall, which was set up before the A7V replica arrived so there is no room for it there.
