Hi Tim and Aleksandr

thank you for the info on the Pierce Arrow!
the photo I saw was the gun version, its the 8 pounder right?
Ill definatly get the book War cars

ahh your beute tank photos are very interesting all the time!

also I have finally something novel to post on this forum, my father recently went to Ukraine and there he picked up some books for me, sadly though he couldnt find any of the books Alexandr recommended me,

BUT in one of the books he got me there is a photo of a German tank made in the twenties!
its a slightly bigger version of the ft-17 but is an indeginous German design which the book says only 2 were made due to the prohibitions against the Wimar republic

I still cant get to scanner but ill post them as soon as I can possibly do it!
(there are several other neat photos of tank dumies as well)

That looks like a nice little model, thanks for posting that Phil.

Here's a 1/35 kit of the Pierce-Arrow with the big turret:

Eugene, I second Tim in highly recommending David Fletcher's 'War Cars', I've currently got it on loan from the library, and it features several photos of a variety of the blighters.

Does any store here in the US carry them?

and what is the quality of the kit

and i am gonna get warcars but it looks as if its a bit hard to find, cant find it on amazon!

I've had a quick look on www.bookfinder.com (the online book search service par excellence, IMHO), and it can get a bit pricey: anything from £10.59 from a shop in Cumbria (northern England) through £14.67 in Cincinatti (the first US seller listed) to £42.72, also in the US!

Does your library service not do interlibrary loans?
