Another German full tracked vehicle

Digging around I found the enclosed photo. It isn't, as one might at first think, another uberlandwagen with A7v tracks but an entirely different vehicle  - the Duerwagen. These were produced C 1916 by the Duer company. Each track unit had its own motor. However it seems that it was decided that the chasis was not robust enough to take armour. Only ten were made and fitted with cargo carrying bodies. Does anyone know any more?

Hello Guys


 Here is a little information on the Dur-Wagen, as you can see it was equipped with two caterpillar treads, each driven by an 80-HP motor, with out a differential. It proved to be too weak to carry an armored body, So the two examples that were built were turned into Gelandewagens.As the photo Roger provided shows.


May be this will help. There is very little information, and even fewer photo's.

Tantalizing, all these rare & rejected trackbeds converted to schleppers... Would make a fab looking model.
