From the Minister of Artillery and Munitions to the French Ambassador to England, London.
A mission was sent to France by the British Government on the 24th & 25th of September to examine the French "tanks."
Colonel Albert Stern, of the Ministry of Munitions and Head of the mission, expressed a desire to receive a number of plans of the Creusot (Schneider) and Saint-Chamond tanks. These plans would be classified as Secret.
I am honoured to enclose 32 drawings to be forwarded to Colonel Stern, drawing to his attention the secret nature of this communication. Along with the 32 drawings is a letter from Schneider & Co dated October 27 and an (explanatory) list of the drawings.
