A7V, a second run

I finished the earlier builds with the sentence: "Now I am waiting for more kits that has been on their way from England over a month."

Delivery took only tree and a half month from England to Sweden.  For some reason they had been returned it instead of delivered. But in the end I got my kits.

Back to the initial plans of my earlier builds The plan was to build one Röchling and one Krupp armoured tank. Plans have increased and as the five kits will be different to each other I need to keep the models apart and follow my notes for each one.

The chassis has been prepared in the way I started with the last builds and the hulls are going through some modifications. I will need more rivets from Archer for these.

First one on the way. #561, A 2'nd lot tank. Female front that was converted to a male. The grills on the hull top has been reduced to 9 from the original 45. It became a bit boring in the end.

Door hinges has been reduced to two instead of three. The same goes for the side flaps. I have started to convert the opening for the gun as well.

The second one is #562. The same modifications has to be made as on 561. The difference is that this is a true male so it doesn't have the large openings for MG's in the front,

I'm starting to regret this project. I am cutting add on armour for three tanks an it is getting boring.

Orso, if you have more photos, would you mind if I collected them up and turned it into an article for Landships: "Building Emhar's A7V"?

The first batch that I built is here: baecklund.eu/scalemodels/72/a7v.html And the ones I'm doing now is being photographed during the build.
One thing that I noticed now when I'm trying to make the socle mount version is that the MG hatches on the front seems to be placed to high on the Emhar kit.

The Emhar kit has the "Buck mount" gun but my five models will have the later "Socle mount" so I've started on the gun shields.

I am using a plastic tube for this.
