Not sure if this is the right sub-forum, please let me know if I should move it to another...
I am doing some deep research on how the RAF cooperated with the Tank Corps to attack and supress German anti-tank guns during 1918. One factor that is mentioned across multiple primary sources (Leigh Mallory's post war history on the topic, Tank Corps after action reports etc) is the production of maps by the squadrons involved (No. 8 and No.73) before offensives showing (perhaps with red dots) the probable location of German anti-tank guns. Leigh Mallory even goes so far as to say that with experience the squadrons involved got the locations right about 50% of the time.
However, despite all of this I have unable to find an example of such a map in the multitude of Tank Corps or RAF primary sources that I have scoured, including everything by Leigh Mallory (OC No 8 Squadron). So my question is this - has anyone out there ever seen such a map? Or does anyone have any useful suggestions of where else I could look?
Fingers crossed that someone out there can help me get past this logjam
