British MkIV crane tank proposed conversion
Permalink

I always liked the PSC WW1 range for their games especially the 18pdr. Pity they disappeared off the scene along with all the figures. Managed to get the French soldiers but failed to get the German and British extra figures. Such is life.

Many years ago now I managed to pick up a number of damaged MkIV 15mm tanks from PSC. It was a good deal with a couple of MkIVs and German tank. A great bargin as  the German tanks were perfect and the only damage was a few missing lewis guns and the odd rail. Even managed to convert one to the Whale Island navy tank of 1940 - not perfect but kept me happy!

I have painted most up but I would like make a MKIV crane (the simple one without the back winch). I remember a picture of such a tank without spondons on which were replaced wooden doors in a supply area with a load of tanks being repaired. Can anyone help me locate such a picture or any other picture of the crane tank.  There are a couple in the New Vanguard book but I need to work out the dimensions of the crane.

thanks

Do you mean the portable jib which could be installed on Mark IV tanks?

There's a drawing at:
