In 1926, after a fund raising campaign, the alumni of Cornell University purchased a Mark V from the British Govt for $15,000.
The tank was #9128 or T9128 in 1920's notation, it had been in action in August 1918 and presumably was retained until replaced by the Vickers Medium tanks.
It sat at the ROTC hall until 1938 when, after failing to interest veteran's groups in acquiring the tank, it was scrapped.
