I've had another rush of blood to the head and done another article on one of the lesser trodden aspects of the subject (to mangle a metephor). I enclose it as a word document. Very interesting article, showing us that WW1 was won, not by bludering about in the mud, but ultimately by (for its day) very advanced weapons, supplied by the use of very advanced logistics. You cannot but be impressed by the organizational feat demonstrated in this article. This is how war are ultimately won: by superior organization and superior resources.
