Looks good stuff, but be very careful with the Interus kit unless you're prepared to do some work on it. Max, what happenned to your offer of the MkIV photo's on CD? Regards, Tony.
I already built a interus MKV.Difficult kit but better then the Emhar.Only the 6-pounder didn't statisfy me but after some work it worked out well.I really don't understand why Emhat can't make such a nice Hotchkiss machine guns like the Interus kit have. And the open hatches. Is this really that difficult to make for Emhar?
About the CD.... I tried to contact you twice but didn;t receive any answer.Something went wrong.I offered to send a copy for free. You can contact me on the mail adress maximaal@tiscali.nl
I saw you did a bid on the Mephisto book on Ebay....that was you or not ?Did you won this book?
any chance of finding an A7V shirt in a small or medium size? (that is an american small) and if i had the money id pounce on the german crew man, but alas, i am poor -_-
Max, the tracks for the Interus tank are by far the best representation of a WWI track that I have seen. All dimensions, bar one, are correct, and the chamfering of the ends is beautiful. Only trouble is that the tracks are neither 20,5" nor 26,5" - they scale out at 23,5"!!! What a shame to go to all the trouble to get the rivet spacing etc spot on and then cock it up with a major booboo like that. The 6pdrs are terrible. Although the Emhar ones look far more impressive, they, too, are the wrong size! I will have to get on the lathe and make some. One of the main difficulties with the Interus kit is the construction of the male sponson: the chamfered edges mean that you have to construct it almost in one go without having any definite reference point. Mind you, the Emhar tanks have stepped joints - sounds great in theory, but they don't clearly indicate whicj piece in inside the other. It's a good job that we have lots of photos to look at through this site - anybody else could battle. Max, Thanks for the photo offer, I'm doing the MkIV male next to represent my Great-Uncle's tank that got taken out at Cambrai, and may carry out a bit of super detailing. Tony
Mephisto Book Yes, I did bid on it.. I thought I'd be clever and sign on to the site a minute before closing time to outbid the other bidder, but the blasted ISP couldn't connect me!
I did see another copy for sale from a bookseller (via abebooks.com - the biggest and the best), but by the time the postage was added on, it was a little too steep. Tony
