I attach a photo of a Hotchkiss being operated by (or posed with) a French soldier. It has no cooling fins at all. Is this unusal,a special model or what? Answers please.


BTW from the context where I found it the 'Frenchman' may actually be an American volunteer transfered from the foreign legion

I think this may be the same gun - also being used as a high angle weapon. Was there some attempt to use it as an AA gun?

The guy posed with the gun I think is an American Aviator originally in the FFL I cant say for sure who though at this time.....
