Hello, Has anyone purchased from Blitz Models? They have some very nice kits that I wish to purchase. I have emailed them several times but have not heard back. I don't read French and have had no luck figuring out their website. Does any other website stock their kits? Thanks, Rob

I have a number of photographs and the manual 1919 edition....can anyone shed any light as to when the hydraulic oil reservoir tank was fitted to guns. The tank seen on the barrel of the gun.....the 1919 manual has a lot of detail and drawings, however some WW1 photos show the gun without this fitting. ...
When a tank broke down, or was put out of action, how were they recovered from the field? I don't mean how did the Germans recover British tanks, I mean how did the British recover their own tanks? A recovery tank? Traction engine? Lots of blokes with spades? I've seen the odd photo, here and there, of a ta...
Hi all here on the Forum Landships. This is my latest finished model from production Accurate Armour. Thank you to Mr. P. Bonnett for consultation at the time of construction.
Does anyone have access to the Memorandum of Chief Quartermaster, AEF, Sept 11. 1917, relative to vehicle markings? Bulletin No. 90 from General Headquarters AEF dated Nov. 11, 1918, makes reference to it, but I haven't been able to locate a copy. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank y...
I´m working now on the guns of my Mark IV, and I have a question for the experts of the forum.Does anybody knows in which way the gun´s sight is "articulated"? I guess it moves together with the gun, but I´m not able to understand its "connections" to the gun and to the gun cradle..T...
Hi mates .I started working on my Mk IV.I have a first question for the experts of the forum, concerning the loophole of the rear door.Which kind of stuff covers the hole on the inner surface of the door?It seems to be a simple round lid, but in some pics from outside it seems to be divided in two parts..Can...
While bumbling around the web seeing what I could find out about the Gun Carrier Mk I, I stumbled across the Hackney Gunners site, which has tons of stuff including this page about the 60 pdr, which also features photos of a beautiful model (as well as many other pages dealing with limber, ammunition, a...
As there has yet to be any mention about these kits I thought I would share with you the content of the kits I have received. Firstly - the box contains all the plastic components found in a 'Somme 1916' kit (ie MB72001 and MB72002) - so you have a steering tail and grenade roof for the spares box. Secondly -...
Hi! I'm looking for any info, sizes, gauge, colours on flat bed transport trucks and the type of rail they would have travelled on in France and Belgium during the Great War. many thanks,
Yesterday, I was told by a staff member at Firepower (Royal Artillery Museum) that their buildings have been sold and that they are set to leave London by 2016. It is unclear where the collection will go and if the staff is to be retained. This conversation was punctuated by several articles (see links...
Okay, as I understand it there was: Mark V, Mark V*, Mark VIII, Ford 3ton, M1917, FT17, and Steam Tank, Holt Gas Electric Tank, Caterpillar Tank (which might have been only a movie mock up), Tiny Holt Rhombus Tank, Skeleton Tank, Studebaker Tank, Best 75 Tracklayer, Holt 3 Wheeled Steam Tank, Holt Tra...
Held off on this one, assuming someone else would pick up on it, but nobody seems to have done so.

Hello all! I have a new item in my Artillery collection, and i want to share it with you all! This is the German basket for the 77mm fieldguns, for the short rounds. Its a Ersatz Type. Its simplified and made of split wood instead of wicker. Only the bottom is made with wicker. They have been made since 191...
Photos of the Great War Society's display and other exhibits at Tankfest 2013 at the Tank Museum, Bovington. As a tip of the hat to the Great-uncle of a chap who joined us on our display, we portrayed the crew of D50 'Dainty Dinmont', the story being that our Mk IV, B46 'Big Brute' had been newly transferr...
Attached is an image of a Mgebrov-Renault armoured car captured/abandoned at the Narva railway station, Estonia, in 1918. Anyone know which army the Mgebrov-Renault served with before it was captured by the Germans? Regards, Charlie
Gentlemen, I am attempting to scratch build a German pontoon wagon,? but am woefully deficient in detail.??? I will have to make a guesstimate of the wagon dimensions based on the known length of the pontoon ( 28 ft ), and other vehicles in the pioneer train.?? Any pics you might be able to post here woul...
I´d like to order a Saint-Chamond (Final model) from Retrotracks and I´m taking a look to the pics on the online shop. I can see strange things (strange for me, at least): it seems to me the tracks are quite different of the real thing and I don´t see the exhaust pipe and its silencer. It´s not a cheap kit s...
Those interested in WW1 transport may wish to look at the images displayed by Bonham's auctioneers of an extraordinary Hallford from the private collection of Michael Banfield. A 1913 W.O. Subsidy Wolseley is also listed in the sale.
