Good news, according to the Daily Mail. It seems Maplin is starting to sell a cheaper 3d printer. Not that the price they're quoting is cheap, but like DVD players a decade ago, it seems that the cost is starting to come down. Hopefully in a few years more they'll be within the reach of many model-makers....
Talk of Fine Molds models elsewhere on this forum reminds me that, if the 1920s aren't too late a period for this website, modellers may like to know that a version of the Japanese Type 89 medium tank in 1/35 is available in a slightly unexpected form at a fraction of the original price. The?original Fin...

Hello all Excuse please my strange question. Today I saw a box of 1/35 scale Dragon French Soldiers from 1940 in green uniforms. Unfortunately I hadn't much time to have a closer look at the figures. The box art showed soldiers in green coats similar to the horizon blue ones, green Adrian (?) helmets an...
Hi, after purchasing a copy of the Owner's Workshop Manual about the Mark IV tank by David Fletcher I found that I could build a really well detailed and accurate model of the tank, using the original blueprints in the book. I've started working on a virtual 3D-model in CAD to base the model on, but the pr...
Strelet models do have their problems but with a bit care (and a good knife and some HaT heads!) you can end up with a reasonable model. I am also grateful to the forum member who suggested modification to the wheels which I have followed. Role on the 9.2"!
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about the color of the tanks at Gaza? I am doing a model of a Mk IV at the Third Battle of Gaza and was wondering what color to paint it. Thanks in advance for replies.

Further to the enquiry about U.S. troops' protective clothing, I've found the illustration of the waterproofs. It was in Mollo & Turner, not Funcken. -- Edited by James H on Monday 8th of July 2013 05:00:25 PM
