Looking for this flak canon on a ehrhardt or daimler truck. Is it Daimler of Ehrhardt? How many were produced and from when? 1914 seems a bit early for flak canons. Is it true that they were heavily used to counter Entente tank attacks? Photos are always nice.ThanksCJ
Hello, I'd like to buy some pre-painted models of WW1 tanks, armoured cars and armoured trains (if there are any). I'm interested in?every scale. Please let me know which companies make such models. Hello again! This one's for the experts... I find the lever for the visor hatch mechanism intriguing. On the interior pics of the MK IV, the handles are (or seem)? right-angled and protude towards the crew. (see upper two pics in the attached image) But I have only this one source of imterior pictures s...

Well this is the base coat for my Hat Renault FT. Do not adjust the settings on your monitor it really is that gaudy! However all is not lost as I have quite a few more steps to go before it is done. I still have the tracks to paint and there is still a bit of touch up left to do. The colors are brush painted using T...
Not really a tank subject but certainly an era one. I am in the process of attempting to reproduce a Vickers MkI MG 1916/1918 era?on a MK IV Tripod. It will be approximately 9 1/2 inches long from muzzle to handgrips. No moving parts, just a desktop model cast in pewter. My dilemma is I cannot find out what...
I'm tidying up one or two of the descriptions on Critical Past. I could do with some help on this one. IMO this is definitely not genuine footage but an extract from a feature film. The Tank seems to be MkV Supply with dummy guns fitted, and the troops have British 1908 webbing. The Germans are using a Vick...
Hello:)Recently I tried a different way to make the rust on the exhaust silencer:) .. I know that this is not the time - this is part of the Jagdpanzer IV model in 1:15 scale. Soon the blog will show step by step how to do it, I think it's a good way to make the effect of the rust not only on the exhaust p...
Haven't seen this before. Apologies if it's old news. Is the?chap scrutinising the Tank in the pub car park the top man? No sign of damage to buildings etc., so presumably well behind the lines. Also lots of grousers on tracks. -- Edited by James H at 09:16, 2007-09-04

Attached are a few photos from my collection of the Ford 2-man tank that was developed at the end of the war. ?Apparently, only two were sent to France for testing during the occupation.? John
Hi, has anyone definitive dimensions for this A/C? I have seen 5.1m long, 2.3m wide, 2.32m high, 4m wheelbase?and a track of 1.5m. This doesn't match drawings I have seen.? One single turret?drawing has a 1m scale on it which scale the length to over 5.8m which makes it a big vehicle. I've attached copi...
More Strelets 1/72 sets than I can keep count of now have arrived at dealers. These include the assorted infantry wearing gasmasks sets, "German Stormtroops" and the 1877 RTW sets which could be useful for WW1 conversions as well. See http://www.strelets-r.com/CamWorldWar1.html ht...
Hello all, I've run into my first big mistake, in painting my splendid field cannons, I over looked washing them first they got gummy when the paint was applied and today when I started varnishing the paint smeared and came off . I fear I will have to repaint them entirely. Any pointers would be MOST help...
Came across a magazine article describing FTs used by Germany for anti-partisan duties in Yugoslavia in WWII. Ack to Jones, Rarey, and Icks, Yugoslavia bought 50 FTs from France. When Germany occupied in 1941 she seized 78 tanks, a mix of FTs, R35s, and H39s. The FTs were reported in August to be "...
G'day Guys, I have been searching without success? for some time for a HO scale Mk IV Tank? to represent? GRIT (Female Mk IV Tank Serial number 4643) the tank which came to Australia for raising War Loans. I am a railway modeller of NSW Railways from about 1890 to 1920 and as it was transported by rail when...
