http://www.paint4models.com/ I cannot remember if I posted it here in the past, but here it is now. It shows how various commercial hobby paints correspond with various standard colors in the RAL and FS categories, and presumably other ones.
Hello all I'm looking for a good newsagent in or around London which has got a good selection of magazines covering our interests (Great War, tanks, vehicles etc.). Any help is much appreciated, thank you! Thomas
Krupp field gun 75mm / L30 Model 1910 Chilean ArmyHiIt is the best known of the Krupp that equipped the Chilean Army, and is the model that there are more references in non-Chilean documents.Their purchase was also determined in response to the purchase of the Argentine 75mm Krupp Model 1909.In C...
Marginally outside our subject, but this trip was led by Dwight Eisenhower, and the film is most entertaining. There is a small debate in The Encyclopaedia That Any Clown Can Edit as to whether a tank, either an FT or an M1917, accompanied the convoy. I can't see one in the film, but you will see very clea...
A toxicity usually produces swelling of the throat and sight, followed by bloating of the human body and lethargy. Hibernation occurs normally. In December to February, start to lessen the gap of the day by controlling the lighted housing. Gradually reduced the lighted interval to 8-10 time, and d...

On page 244 of the book "Sturmpanzerwagen A7V. Vom Urpanzer zum Kampfpanzer Leopard 2" published in 2003 I found very interesting info that in July 1918 Abteilung 2 had an armoured car. Because at the time there were no German armoured car units on the Western Front, I think it must have been some captu...
I am trying to determine what color French heavy artillery (ALGP and ALVF) was painted. I have Guy Francois book "Les Canons de la Victoire, 1914-18", but the green color of the guns in the illustrations seems to be unnaturally bright or bilious. And then, some of the railway guns are painted grey co...

This might have been done before. Were there actually any "female" Mk I hulls, or were they all "male" with "female" sponsons? The reason I ask is that I hadn't noticed until watching D. Fletcher's video on Flying Scotsman that it has ammunition racks for 6pdr shells. How and where were the belts for...
I suspect this has been covered before, so my apologies for bringing it up again (I had no luck finding a thread on this). I am wondering about the meaning of the large numbers painted on the upper hull of some FT-17s Attached are two photos (and details) of what I presume are of the same vehicle (number 66...
Wayne McCulllough's 1/72 Mark I Male cardmodel rescaled to 1/50. I layered the model to give some texture to the model and embossed the rivets. The tracks are from Wayne's Gun Carrier Mark I since these are more detailed than the Mark I model tracks. Regards, Charlie
I've had the kit and wanted to start it. I wanted to modify it slightly so that a dispatch runner would be bringing something to the officer. Questions: 1) How accurate are ICM's color directions? The German field grey of WW1 I know is not like that of WW2. 2) What do I do for a dispatch case? Lots of e...
Were US Army trucks furnished with unpainted, undyed, raw linen colored canvas? Were US Army trucks furnished with canvas died green to match the truck? Were US Army trucks camouflage painted to include the canvas getting the same paint jobs? Were these same procedures followed in the USA and Franc...
Hello Guys
I am looking for information and photos of the Schneider Brillie No15 Model 1909 Armoured Truck. I know there was three designs, and the were bought by Spain, I also know there history with the Spanish Army and use during the Riff War. But my information is limited on this version. A...
Good day to you all! looking at some photos of Beute-Mark IV's in the Tankograd books i noticed two hooks on the front of the roof of the drivers cabin. I have not yet found these hooks on a Mark IV in British service but i do not have that much photos. I have also not found these hooks on all other Beute-Ma...
Just thinking. The story usually goes that M was seized, captured, recovered, salvaged by Queensland troops. But according to the v professional graffiti on the side, it was "salved" by 1st Gun Carrier Company, 5th Tank Brigade. We don't know what vehicles were used (GC or Mk IV), but so...
This may sound like a strange topic, but I note that most vehicles from the World War One era-not just military-did not have rubber tires. Also the FT tanks had fan belts which often failed in use. Armor plate manufacturing was still primitive then. Was that the case with rubber?

I have Schnuck on the back burner, but I do have an interest in depicting any landship from the time period mentioned above. There are the British tanks of course, but I was wondering about the French ones. Trouble is, the Schneider kits I heard of are inaccurate, and the Takom kits are better. But th...
I take it that this is entirely wrong: This is reproduced in Battle Story Cambraiby Chris McNab. If I interpret this correctly, the original publisher, the ILN, appears to believe that these are two shots of the same tank, The Perfect Lady, negotiating a trench, and hasn't noticed that the lower pict...
Hi I have a question about the Oldbury transmission trials, which were conducted in March 1917th. After David Fletcher (Landships - British tanks in the First World War) there were 6 systems have been studied. Five Mark II were made available for and since these were not sufficient, the prototype M...
