I would like to draw everybody's attention to all the hard work Charlie has been doing for Landships2. I found out yesterday that even the stuff that looks simple takes an age to do, and yet Charlie still doggedly plugs away at it. I am sure everyone here will join me in saying, "Very well done, mate...
Recently bought a model of the Jeffery Quad Ammo Carrier; anyone have any clear picture showing the markings? I know it was in use with different nations and I'll go for any nationality, as long as the markings are clear... thanks, Michel.

Hi everyone. I have seen many times the Farina body armour, but I don?t know the method of wearing this body shield. I suppose that strong straps with hooks were needed. Did the shoulder pieces have straps that diagonally crossed the back and were buckled on the breastplate? Is it right? Does anyone ha...
This might seem like an entry-level question, but can anyone tell me exacly?how many?MGs were carried in the Mks I -IV? I have read conflicting accounts. As I understand it, Males had 1 MG in each sponson and Females 2 in each. AFAIK there was no ball-mount for in the cab until the Mk IV, and no provision f...

I've just put up a detailed walkaround of the 21cm howitzer at Childers, Queensland. This one is more detailed (174 images) than the earlier walkaround. The images were taken by Shane Black. http://www.ammsbrisbane.com/reference/21_cm_2.html Regards, Charlie
If you get The Tank Museum Plans Pack for the Mk IV Male tank I figured out the scale. It is 1/48.5 and if you reduce the drawing to 67% on your scanner/printer it is the same size as the Emhar kit. If you drop it to 66% that may be closer but for my purposes 67% is fine. I hope this helps everyone. -- Edited by pla...

No wonder this got past the censor! One of many artistic impressions of what the Tanks looked like before the official photos were released - obviously based on the Holt Tractor. Love the pincers at the front

I? just picked up the Airfix Mk I at my local hobby shop and it is a very nice kit. It contains parts for the Male as well but it only has decals and instructions for the Female version. I plan to do them as tanks at Gaza 1917. I will get the Black Lion decals as well.In the mean time I still have a lot to build.
Hi all, I was reading Wingates great thread and looking at his Grandfathers photos of E Coy. and I was thinking of doing Revenge , a Mk IV Female, at Gaza. At the same time I was also reading David Fletchers book" The British Tanks 1915-1919" and in it he says of 3 the Mk IVs sent to the Middle East...

I found these photos of modified FT-17s in Afghanistan. Does anyone know if they were used by the Taliban at one point? From what I know, two are in the USA, still in storage (I think) and the (two?)?others have dissappeared in the scrapyard...?
