I have been meaning to get "Tanks and other Armored Fighting Vehicles 1900-1918" by B.T. White for a long time. However, every time I found it, it was very expensive. I recently aquired a comparitively cheap copy of it, and I am very impressed by it!
While by no means complete in the Tank section, it...

I buy every single WWI armor book I can find, because I know that there are at least a few pictures I have not seen before in every single one. I just got Peter Chamberlain & Chris Ellis's little book "British & German Tanks of World War 1". Heres some information I thought was cool.
Three tank designs...
The Christie Medium Tank M1919 was designed by J. Walter Christie with experience gained from construction of the Wheel-and-Track 8in Gun Motor Carriage in WWI. The M1919 became the first postwar tank to be built in America.
What was the christie Wheel-and-Track 8in Gun Motor Carriage of WWI?...
Howdy All,
My apologies for a potentially silly question, but...since I feel the available WWI kits in 1/35th scale are few and far between {when compared to 1/72nd}, I was eyeing the old Airfix 1/32nd scale duo-kit of the Dennis fire engine, and Omnibus at my LHS and was wondering how pos...
I do not see these tanks on the list. Correct me if I am mistaken.

I just learned about this, and it is very cool. As usual, I am sure a lot of you have already discovered this fantastic site, but I thought I would post this just in case some of you have not.
This is a "South Texas Border" collection of around 8,000 photographs, from around 1912-1920. Many M1917 pics...
The Robert Runyon collection is a real find. Thanks for passing it on.
There was another border photographer, W.D. Smithers, who was a fascinating character. He became a U.S. Army teamster on pack mule trains in 1915-1917, during the Mexican Revolution (Pershing, et. al.). He was already an ac...

Hello, Tim,
Your offer of info on vehicles used by Pershing in 1916 is most welcome.
I just went to Pancho Villa State Park (!) at Columbus, New Mexico, and did a bit of photographing. Great fun!
One thing was disappointing: we went through the town of Marfa, in far west Texas, where Camp Ma...
Last night I pulled out my box of WWI figures and thought I'd have a go at tarting up one of the Emhar British soldiers (specifically the one throwing the Mills bomb).
Granted, these figures are not as precisely detailed as Scale Link or even the new ICM set (which I've yet to get) but by replacing thing...
Hi all!
After waiting in vain (and grumbling) for someone to make WW1 Military Decals, me and a friend have instead finally made our own. So now there is a Line of Landships 1/72-76 Scale WW1 Military Decals. They are intended for the Airfix and Il Principe Nero Mk I, the EMHAR Mk IV, the EMHAR FK 96 n/a &...
Hello, There are some curious screws on a cradle of some ww1 guns (see attachment). I am interested in their function. I found these screws on austrian mortars only (305m M11, M16 and 420mm M17). There have been some differences in of their number (see pictures of 305mm mortar M11). It was a spec...
I found on the net some photos of the WWI stuff from Warsaw Polish Army Museum.
several guns, in the bacgsound is the barrell of the Russian heavy siege howitzer (link to the photo of the whole gun was posted on thins forum some time ago...
I am certainly no expert on softskins, and this one really got me stumped.
It's an american GMC truck, that's for sure, from the Great War Era (one suggestion on the Museum sign said "1918", but that is probably the year of purchase).
Knut Erik Hagen of Norway has s...
Some of HaT's recent figures are soft plastic, like polyethylene, but can be stuck with polystyrene cement. Anyone know what this stuff is?
Now I'm told that Loctite have brought out a glue which bonds standard polyethylene. I'd be intersted to know if anyone can report on its effectiveness.
There doesn't seem to have been any publicity about it but the Fine Scale Factory Opel is available.
I've just received one and it appears to be excellent - nicely detailed resin and white metal. It looks very promising.
The only disappointment is the instructions; pretty crudely photocopied,...
Now that I too have learned how to post pictures (thanks Vilkata!) I can't withhold you the sight of these two Interior Views, that were sent to me a long time ago, by who I can't remember, and the source was never given: obviously from some book. Anyone knows where they were publ...
