Looking for some help with the Copper State Model of the Canadian Armoured Autocar. In the driver's compartment there are two liquid containers: the large one will be the fuel - petrol. The question is does anyone know what the smaller container may hold? It could be oil or maybe it could be the acety...

Hello all, I have been trying to figure out a movie that I say only part of once a long time ago, Hoping somebody who sees this may be able to identify the movie. The movie i believe took place in WW1 and had a sniper that was putting makeup on and hiding out as a statue. I believe the movie was in black and white...
Hi folks, I started my buildt of Little Willie in scale 1/10. After spending some time on CAD drawings, I started the first try with producing some parts on my CNC milling machine today. The plan is, to buildt a prototype in plastic, before I will start producing this Willie thing in metal. It should...
I've been trying to sort out the pre-WW1 152mm Russian howitzers. I believe that Russian Army wanted two types of 152mm howitzer, a heavier fortress type and a field howitzer. Both Krupp and Schneider built prototypes with Schneider having the inside running because of the 1907 agreement with Put...

I am looking for photos of a brand new Mk tank on a flat car, on its way to port to be shipped to Europe. I would like to model this, but have only been able to find photos of the Mk tanks deployed. I will model in 1/35, 1/72 or 1/76.
Based on HaT 8244 kit. I was collecting references siince quite some time. Finally I designed PE parts and did some improvements. Looks fo me quite Ok now. What do you think?
I found the following on youtube that some people might like: The Battle and Fall of Przemysl (USA 1915) has film clip of Austrian 30.5 howitzer being transported set up and firing among other things Fall of Przemyl wnv. and Nicholas II in Przemysl (1915) the former looks like has some of the same fil...

To go with my WW1 60cm French Artillery light railway layout a kit bashed Canon de 75 mm antiaérien mle 1917. The kit a 75mm Anti-Aircraft gun model 17/34 from EWM was modified by replacing the gun with the shorter version used during WW1 and adding the shields. A representation of the dials and sight...
To go on my WW1 French Artillery 60cm light railway layout a scratch built Canon de 240 TR Mle 1903. This was a coastal defence gun that was reworked to a railway gun. The gun could be transported either on standard gauge rails or transferred to the narrow gauge rails. The gun carriage was mounted on a sp...
Would anyone have a photo or reference that showed the capture of a Mk.V tank by the German forces during the 1918 war on the Western Front? I have yet to find evidence of that. Thanks and cheers, Gary
Thanks to the help I received on this forum, I've been able to complete my model of Takom's Mk.1 female. The figures are modified from a set of MasterBox British Infantry Somme 1916. Cheers, Gary [img]...
Any one know the nut and bolt size that bolts the armour plate together on the FT tank. It seems everything is bolted not riveted with the nuts inside the vehicle and the bolts coned to accept a spanner for assembly outside.
I hadn't realised that with the shift to left wing politics Wikipedia had also given up any pretence at rigour. The article entitled "15cm Ring Kanone L/30" is mostly about the 15cm Marinerohr M83 L/30 on a Krupp carriage. This was one of the Naval gun types adapted for land use during WW1. Franz Kosar...
A bit off-topic, but I hope I might be given some leeway. Back to Berlin 1945 and the captured Russian/Soviet artillery surrounding the two Mark V tanks in the Lustgarten. I'm pretty sure I've got the 152mm howizer, the 45mm anti-tank, and the 21cm Morser, but the rest need an expert eye. I've numbered...
Good evening gents, I am seeking info on A7V no 564 for modelling purposes. Does anyone have ,or, know of any pictures of 564 between Sept and Nov 1918. Having looking at older posts in this forum I see that it most likely had the red-brown, sand, light green over feldgrau as one member stated dur...
I'm doing a tidy up of the FK 96 articles on Landships II. It strikes me that what is needed is an article on the derivatives of the 7.7cm FK 96 n.A. As far as I know the following were derived from the FK 96 n.A 7.7cm Nahrkampfkanone - modified gun shield and smaller diameter wheels 7.7cm KiH - Kanone im Hau...
Hello all, this is the Takom kit of the Skoda 30.5 cm M16 mortar. The kit is not very faithful to the original (to put it politely), so I had to do many corrections. I just wanted to add some crew, but WW1 artillery crews are as rare as hen's teeth, so I had to find a viable alternative. I found out that Trumpet...
Greetings! Here is my Mark.IV female from Takom in progress. Nice kit, but I ususally work hard with every detail. So, I have added some new details and some details were replaced. I have used plastic, copper, brass and wire for chains. App. 60% completed. I hope my modest work will be usefull and inter...
It has long been accepted that 109 or so FTs were taken to the USA after the war. In the past, I've long been suspicious of that claim, on the grounds that production of the M1917, with its improvements over the FT, was beginning to take off, so there was no need for used and inferior FTs. Steve Zaloga told m...
I finished the earlier builds with the sentence: "Now I am waiting for more kits that has been on their way from England over a month." Delivery took only tree and a half month from England to Sweden. For some reason they had been returned it instead of delivered. But in the end I got my kits.Back to th...
I stumbled across some videos that show the Canadian War Museum restoring their Autocar to running order and then putting it in a parade. Posted on Landships FB yesterday. [vide...
